TAROT CARDS: KNIGHT OF SWORDS

A great idea is worthless without polished execution.’’

Steve Jobs

DESCRIPTION

In the Rider-Waite deck, The Knight of Swords card is depicted as a young knight on a pale steed charging into the battle. His sword is raised high in the sky, piercing the wind as he rides. His direction seems to be to the left, or according to tarot symbolism, the past. He is the fastest moving knight amongst all the four knights of tarot.

The Knight of Swords represents an individual or a situation with characteristic qualities of the card. He is fierce, assertive and sharp-witted. He has not reached the maturity of the King and Queen of Swords yet, but he wishes to prove his abilities. He inherits the same intellectual and communicative power that the Sword family has.

His vision is of a warrior: There is a war to take on, enemies to be slayed and lands to conquer. In divinatory terms, this can be interpreted as someone charging through various obstacles in life. He is so focused on a single goal, sometimes with a cost of neglecting everything else.

When interpreted as a specific person, it is likely to be a younger male that has one of the air element zodiac signs in his natal chart.
